"Dead is better, indeed"

Films: Pet Sematary (1989), Pet Sematary Two (1992)

Alias: Timmy Baterman, Church the cat, Gage Creed, Rachel Creed, Zowie the dog, Gus Gilbert, Renee Matthews, Clyde Parker

Type: Mystical

Location: Civilized area/Haunted home

Height/Weight: That of their respective species.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: You probably feel a horrible, endless guilt for the death of someone you care about greatly. Perhaps you would do anything to bring them back. If there were such an option given to you, would you take it? But more importantly, would it be worth it...?

History: An old pet sematary (yes, the typo is intentional) in Maine held a dark secret. It was built over a M'kmaq burial ground, which of course means that it's cursed to high hell. Everyone and everything buried there may come back to life, but they come back homicidal and downright evil. And no matter how many times it happens, the grief of loss keeps winning gullible folks over.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: One way or another, the resurrected pets and people end up dead again, this time for good. The only one who's fate remains ambiguous is Rachel, but even then, considering her family's tragedy fell into legend by the sequel, it's safe to assume that she's not around anymore.

Powers/Abilities: None

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-It's not so much the fact that there's a dead bunch out to kill, but imagine your loved ones being the killers. That's a whole other level of psychological torment. Dead is better, folks.

Trivia: -The first film would have been done by George Romero, but he was too busy with "Monkey Shines" at the time, so the reins were handed to Mary Lambert.

-The M'kmaq are a First Nation's people native to several parts of Canada and Maine. At no point in their entire history did they think of building haunted burial grounds to wake the dead.

There are things WORSE than death, indeed.

Shorthairs are supposed to be cute!

What did we say about dead being better again?! Let your grief go, already!
Life just plain sucks sometimes, monsters or not.

Sequels to classics are often NEVER welcomed by popular demand except by crazy fanfic authors.

Umm...no dessert? To your room? Crap.

First, an undead papercut demon. Now, man's best fiend.

I'm not a big fan of needles, either.

Cremation is a sure-fire way to make sure this doesn't happen again, to be honest.
